My absolute favorite is getting to work with amazing clients on a new venture – so I was over the moon excited with Kelly (check out Curation Consulting here) reached back out wanting to create a visual brand for her new business, Hatched, Surrogacy and Egg Donation. 

A little bit about her company… Hatched, Surrogacy and Egg Donation helps families who cannot otherwise have children build a family. Since the company is founded by surrogates and intended-parents, they know first-hand what the entire experience is like and are able to connect on a deeper level with their clients.

Primary seasonal brand: Hatched most identifies with the summer personality. Since they have personal experience going through the surrogacy process, details and staying well organized are of the utmost importance. They are supportive and have a strong sense of responsibility; both to their clients and the intended family. They are delicate and elegant with a high standard for quality.

Secondary seasonal brand: Hatched also identifies with the fall season because they pride themselves on being comforting, friendly, practical and strong. Acting with integrity and transparency is very important to them. Since pregnancy is one of the most natural functions of the female human body, they have a strong connection to the natural world.

The Inspiration

For the mood board, the color scheme was all about calm, cool and relaxed. 

I had so much fun creating the logo concepts for this brand! The first idea was to work in a pregnant woman – with her tummy being the ‘d’ in Hatched. 

For the other two options, I wanted to work in a natural element and went a little more abstract for option two and more realistic for option three. 

The visual brand

Kelly loved the third option but wanted to swap in the script font from option two. I absolutely love how everything came together – this brand has such a soft and natural vibe while maintaining a gender neutral feeling.
